EDA has donated medical equipment’s for 10 Health Centers and 2 Hospitals in Oromo Special Zone of Amhara Region with the grant assistance of Children Believe..


The donation has been made to address the damaged and looted health facilities due to armed civil war and hostilities occurring in the region since few months ago. The donation mainly contains biomedical equipment’s of laboratory materials, electronics and biomechanical equipment’s of items with twenty types such as delivery coaches, delivery sets, patient beds, examination coaches, infusion stands, microscopes, stethoscopes, electrical vacuums, weighing scales, autoclaves and so on.

EDA has donated medical equipment’s for 10 Health Centers and 2 Hospitals in Oromo Special Zone of Amhara Region with the grant assistance of Children Believe.


The donation has been made to address the damaged and looted health facilities due to armed civil war and hostilities occurring in the region since few months ago. The donation mainly contains biomedical equipment’s of laboratory materials, electronics and biomechanical equipment’s of items with twenty types such as delivery coaches, delivery sets, patient beds, examination coaches, infusion stands, microscopes, stethoscopes, electrical vacuums, weighing scales, autoclaves and so on.

Upon the handing over of the equipment’s the zonal Heads of the Health department, Finance bureau, and EDA Regional Manager have made a speech about the relevance of the medical equipment’s that address not only the damages to health facilities but also it improves the existing disparities and service deliveries among health facilities. On the event and during the handing over of the biomedical equipment’s; the Amhara Media Corporation (AMCo.) provides due recognition and host the air time coverage and disseminates the news through its media.

           


Moreover, user training has also been organized and provided for 27 health professionals and biomedical staff on the proper arrangements, materials usage and access to biomechanical, laboratory and electrical use of biomedical equipment’s with the view to improve services quality and long-term sustainability.
